Outdoor Wedding Wear

Last weekend my sweet cousin Jenny got married in one of the most magical outdoor wedding locations I’ve ever seen. It’s called the Bartlett Arboretum located in Belle Plaine, KS.  Here are a few pictures I took from the event as well as what Daniel and I wore for the occasion!

Doug built them a platform up in a tree at the Arboretum to be married on! They met up in a tree at a camp so this was a special wedding detail!

And lastly, what Daniel and I wore for the event! This dress was one of the fabulous treasures I walked away with at the aforementioned clothing swap! I love the combo of tulle and lace.

I’m selling this vintage bracelet in my Etsy shop, here!

And here is my sweet man who LOVES having his picture taken. ;)

Vintage Vibes

I’ve been trying out some different color combinations lately and I really like this duo! Berry & orange! It has a ‘vintage vibe’ to it.

Fall Into Spring

Before the weather warms up too much, I’m trying to give my fall and winter pieces one last go! I realize this look isn’t too Spring-y but I do love these rich colors! What looks are you trying to squeeze in before summer hits?

My hair is starting to actually grow out a bit (thank you Biotin!) so I’ve been wearing it ‘natural’. It doesn’t have too much wave, but it’s just enough to scrunch and go! I love a quick morning routine.

Annnnnd this outake was just too funny not to share. Doesn’t it feel good to just laugh at yourself sometimes?
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Winter Brights

In case you missed my blog swap yesterday with Lauren from Sophisticated in Style, this was how I wore ‘Winter Brights’! Be sure to stop by and give Lauren a visit! Happy weekend!!

Blog Swap: Sophisticated In Style

Happy Friday Beauty and Bows fashionistas! I am so excited to be visiting from Sophisticated In Style! Star and I wanted to show you how you can rock winter brights this season. I don’t know about you, but winter here in Canada is always dreary and cold. A nice way to add some sun (or dare I say it ‘Spring’) to the season is through pops of colour!

Okay, in this case A LOT of colour. I decided to make this look on the same colour palette, and added neutral pumps and a handbag since the outfit itself is a lot of colour. For beginners, you could always try pops of colour in accessories, for example shoes or handbags, or even through a blouse with a neutral bottom.

Outfit Breakdown: Trousers: H&M (I scored them for 15!), Sweater: Gap, Shirt: Old Navy, Shoes: Aldo, Clutch: Winners, Necklace: Laura’s, Watch: Michael Kors.

If you’re interested in seeing how Star styled her winter bights, kindly visit Sophisticated In Style.
