Outdoor Wedding Wear

Last weekend my sweet cousin Jenny got married in one of the most magical outdoor wedding locations I’ve ever seen. It’s called the Bartlett Arboretum located in Belle Plaine, KS.  Here are a few pictures I took from the event as well as what Daniel and I wore for the occasion!

Doug built them a platform up in a tree at the Arboretum to be married on! They met up in a tree at a camp so this was a special wedding detail!

And lastly, what Daniel and I wore for the event! This dress was one of the fabulous treasures I walked away with at the aforementioned clothing swap! I love the combo of tulle and lace.

I’m selling this vintage bracelet in my Etsy shop, here!

Candy Combat

Saturdays call for a cozy sweater (in cotton candy pink!), combat boots (purple!), and unwashed hair in a top-knot! Easy.

I really love the monochromatic trend right now so when I thrifted this pink sweater the other day, I knew I had to pair it with my coral skinnies.

Have you seen those gorgeous Kate Spade colored bracelets? I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for a steal on Ebay but haven’t found any that are in my price range. THEN the other day I found a pink and blue look-a-like set at a vintage shop downtown. $3 for both! Now that’s more like it.

Top knots are more fun with a bow underneath! I made this little cutie!

And last but not least…purple combat boots!! Thanks to my sweet sister-in-law I now own these amazing purple combat boots! She thrifted them but they were too small so I bought them from her. Aren’t they super awesome!!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Outfit Breakdown: Pink sweater, thrifted $3.99, coral skinny jeans, American Eagle gift card, purple combat boots, thrifted $5.99, bracelet, thrifted $1.50, earrings, shop in Nashville sale $1, striped hair bow, made by me!!

Winter Wedding

This weekend my beautiful friend Maria got hitched! It was a lovely wedding filled with laughter, tears of joy, and lots of friends eating pie! She looked amazing in her lacy gown and perfectly curled hair. Maria and Sam kept their wedding simple but one thing was clear, their focus on God being the center of their lives. As they exchanged vows they committed to entrust their relationship to the Lord and  always go to Him for guidance.

Look at that ‘glow’! :)

Maria asked me and another friend to sing one of my favorite hymns, It is Well, during their ceremony. It was such an honor! This is what I wore to the event! Outfit Breakdown: Coat, Vintage Thrifted $9, Scarf, Thrifted $.45, Dress, Forever 21 $25, Shoes, gift, Necklace, thrifted $2, Sweater, JCPenny (old), Belt, Francescas $5

What else is there to do in a pleated dress but to spin!

And this is what my handsome man wore! Outfit Breakdown: Sports Jacket, thrifted $7, Chambray Shirt, thrifted $3, Pants, H&M $15, Shoes, Ebay $30, Bow Tie, Made by me! And up for sale on my Etsy, here!

Look at that smile! :) It melts my heart!
