New Girl

Sooooo I’ve been watching a lot of New Girl lately and I think I was subconsciously inspired by Jessica Day when I put this outfit together. There is a lot of color, patterns, and can’t forget…the glasses.

Windy Wanderlust

Remember Maria from this post? Here we are again getting lost in our neighborhood on a very windy day and enjoying the amazing colors of fall!

Maria and I live only a few blocks apart and I have the lovely pleasure of going to Bible study with her every week. This inevitably leads to deep convo, lots of getting honest, and talks of our hopes, dreams, and prayers.

I am constantly inspired by her adorable style, love for people, joyful spirit, and her kind heart.

Does anybody else have a problem with going to Target and leaving with WAY more than you anticipated? They always have the most darling clothing and accessories and usually some pretty great sales, so how can you stop at just ONE section of the store? I found these pink polka dotted skinny jeans in the girl’s section (yes…the LITTLE girl’s section) for $8! Do you ever visit other sections of clothing stores? I usually swing by the girl’s and boy’s sections to browse their sale racks in hopes of finding a treasure…like these pants!

As our snow continues to melt, I’m branching out (finally) from my snow boots to regular boots, and hopefully back to my flats and heels soon! I’ve been using my Hunter fleece/knit inserts inside my regular brown boots for added warmth! If you have a pair of Hunter rain boots, I highly suggest getting a pair of the inserts!

Green Day

When my father-in-law saw this outfit he called me ‘the little green elf”. Not exactly what I was going for but…yes, it’s a lot of green. :)

Saturday was quite cold so I decided to layer up with some new and old pieces. This jacket is from American Eagle 2004 I think! It’s one of those pieces that I’ve just held on to and I’m glad I did. These green skinnies I found on sale at The Limited and they are SO comfy. If you are in the market for colored skinnies, I’d recommend The Limited. And my new fav boots (suede) were recently thrifted for $3.50 at my local DAV.

Now it’s snowing and it looks like we will be getting several inches! Eee! Excited!

Outfit Breakdown: jacket, American Eagle (old); striped shirt, Gap $12; green skinny jeans, The Limited $19; boots, thrifted $3.50; scarf, old; sunnies, Target $16

Candy Combat

Saturdays call for a cozy sweater (in cotton candy pink!), combat boots (purple!), and unwashed hair in a top-knot! Easy.

I really love the monochromatic trend right now so when I thrifted this pink sweater the other day, I knew I had to pair it with my coral skinnies.

Have you seen those gorgeous Kate Spade colored bracelets? I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for a steal on Ebay but haven’t found any that are in my price range. THEN the other day I found a pink and blue look-a-like set at a vintage shop downtown. $3 for both! Now that’s more like it.

Top knots are more fun with a bow underneath! I made this little cutie!

And last but not least…purple combat boots!! Thanks to my sweet sister-in-law I now own these amazing purple combat boots! She thrifted them but they were too small so I bought them from her. Aren’t they super awesome!!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Outfit Breakdown: Pink sweater, thrifted $3.99, coral skinny jeans, American Eagle gift card, purple combat boots, thrifted $5.99, bracelet, thrifted $1.50, earrings, shop in Nashville sale $1, striped hair bow, made by me!!
