Lately I’ve seen a lot of bloggers doing a semi-casual type look and I just haven’t been able to get it down. For work I have to dress up so the jean-heels combo isn’t really appropriate, then on the weekends I usually just want to be ALL casual and comfy. This weekend, however, I think I finally struck a balance!
This high-low top is SO comfy and great for warm weather. I dressed it up a bit by buttoning up the collar all the way, adding this minimalist gold necklace, and throwing on my bright red heeled sandals.
The ‘casual’ part comes into play with my cargo shorts (super old btw…like from high school! Eep!) and the layering of this black and white striped tank under my shirt. I like the subtle effect it made.
And lastly, my vintage Dooney purse! I’ve been carrying this purse since Christmas but somehow have not worn it on the blog! I have a big thing for vintage Dooney’s and am always on the prowl. This one was found near Chicago as a 2nd hand store.
I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday weekend! Daniel and I slept in, did some cleaning and yard work, as well as rearranged the living room. It was great!
