Saturday we celebrated my grandparent’s 65th wedding anniversary. All 10 of their children came into town as well as most of the cousins. All together we total more than 60 people when you account for spouses and babies. The day started at our local Botanica where we dedicated several bricks engraved with sweet words to my grandparents. We were then free to roam the gardens and enjoy the morning. After Botanica we all had lunch at a country club in their garden room. After a few hour break, we all gathered once more to celebrate the wedding shower of one of my cousins. It was a great day! My grandparents are a huge inspiration to me and many people in the Wichita area. They’ve lived here their entire lives and have filled their existence with adventure after adventure. My grandpa was a dentist and my grandma…well she raised 10 children…and she is an avid writer of poetry and children’s literature. Quite precious people. Daniel and I have a lot of respect for them and hope to lead love-filled lives, just like they have!
