Although shorts can keep you nice and cool in the summer, sometimes jeans are a more appropriate choice for certain summer events or even the work place. Don’t sweat! There are plenty of ways to wear denim this summer and stay ‘cool’ in the heat.
1. Choose a lighter weight denim.
These colored skinnies are made from a thinner fabric and breathe nicely.
2. Try an easy updo!
Getting your hair up away from your face and ears allows the summer breeze to keep you nice and cool! It’s also a way to allow that unwashed hair to go an extra day. Braids are a fun, easy, and free way to give your hair a new look, and it’s just a great summer vibe! Try adding a braid and maybe even a fun accessory (like this bow!) for added interest.
3. Wear a loose-fitting top.
This shirt is so lightweight and doesn’t cling to the body, a great choice for warmer days.
4. Wear an open-toe sandal or wedge.
If your feet stay cool it will help the rest of your body maintain a cooler temperature.
And, VOILA! Wearing denim in the summer is possible! This is a great way to extend your wardrobe into warmer months and get creative with the pieces you already own!
